Professor Vrdoljak was pleased to take part in the Regional workshop on Archaeological Heritage under the UNESCO Mandate organized by the Polish National Commission for UNESCO, Adam Mickiewicz University Poznan and UNESCO-UNITWIN Network on Culture in Emergencies held virtually on 3 April 2025.

The UNESCO Chair participated in the first session with Ms Jyoti Hosgrahar (Deputy Director of UNESCO’s World Heritage Centre), Dr Mounir Bouchenaki (Chair of the Scientific Committee of ALIPH and Director-General of ICCROM), and Ms Nuria Sanz (Director of the UNESCO Regional Office in Cairo). Professor Vrdoljak’s contribution looked that the international and regional frameworks covering archaeological undiscovered objects.

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people upon whose ancestral lands our university stands. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
