Congratulations to UNESCO Chair collaborators Professor Janet Blake and Professor Lucas Lixinski (UNSW) on the award of the American Society of International Law 2021 Certificate of Merit for The 2003 UNESCO Intangible Heritage Convention: A Commentary (Oxford University Press, 2020).
The jury described it as ‘an authoritative guide’ which is ‘systematic, thorough and insightful in its treatment of the Convention, and will be welcomed by practitioners and scholars alike’.
This book is the first volume in the new Oxford Commentaries on International Cultural Heritage Law. The second edition of the The World Heritage Convention: A Commentary is being prepared by UNESCO Chair collaborator Francesco Francioni (EUI and LUISS) and Federico Lenzerini (Siena) for the 50th anniversary of the Convention next year.
