The UNESCO Chair Ana Filipa Vrdoljak was invited to contribute a paper to the ARC funded international conference on ‘Heritage and security: Between international norms and local experiences’ hosted by Professors Benjamin Isakhan (Deakin) and Lynn Meskell (UPenn) at Deakin University Melbourne on 23 February 2024. Professor Vrdoljak presented a paper on the role of amnesties and accountability for cultural destruction in post-conflict situations and societies in transition.

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people upon whose ancestral lands our university stands. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
