Professor Ana Filipa Vrdoljak was pleased to contribute to the opening panel discussion for the ‘Power of Culture and Education in Times of War’ workshop organised by the Ukrainian, Polish, German National Commissions for UNESCO, DVV International Ukraine and the Lviv City Council on 9 May 2024. This event was organised to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the 1954 Hague Convention. Professor Vrdoljak’s presentation focussed on the obligations under the Convention and its protocols before armed conflict, during and post conflict.
UTS acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people upon whose ancestral lands our university stands. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
