Professor Ana Filipa Vrdoljak was pleased to be invited to make a presentation on the possibility of a normative instrument on the metropolis and heritage, outlining the reasons for the instrument, what it would contain, and its form to the World Heritage Institute for Training and Research for the Asia and Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO (WHITRAP) and Heritopolis Shanghai Conference on ‘The Power of Nature in the Metropolitan Area on 9 October 2023, held in Shanghai China.

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people upon whose ancestral lands our university stands. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
